Who Am I? 

 

Born in August 1887, 

Started on a life that was full of question, 

 

Went to university and was full of potential, 

His greatness grew ever exponential, 

 

Suddenly World War One, 

And he bravely manned a big artillery gun, 

 

1920 and he got a job in the sciences, 

And suddenly his career advances, 

 

1921 and became a full Professor, 

His discoveries launched him on an endeavor, 

 

In 1933 He escaped Nazi Germany, 

As he wanted cultural diversity, 

 

In the same year he arrived at Oxford, 

And decided to put his best forward, 

 

But his favor of polygamy, 

Caused the university to kick him out timidly, 

 

Then he went to Prinston University, 

But he turned the offer down heartily, 

 

1994 he wrote "What is life?" 

Which was the pinnacle of his life 

 

And it is this man we read,  

Who died aged 73.
